Wilfred N & the Grown Men |
|
The band from Edmonton, Canada called "Wilfred N & the Grown Men" . . ." They make adventurous pop/rock albums, and thier current 2-cd album, "Waiting For Luck To Come" is loaded with Hawaiian steel guitar and a wee bit of ukulele, too. Jamie is crazy about Hawaiian music, so his enthusiasm has put a lot of aloha into my tunes.
"Wilfred Kozub and Jamie Philp are a Edmonton, Canada pop/rock duo that spice up their sound with eclectic, unusual influences. Jamie in particular adds a Hawaiian touch to their music, having studied Hawaiian steel guitar with George Lake and studied slack key at the Big Island's Slack Key and Ukulele Institute."
Wilfred N & the Grown Men are on the ZONIC Records label. Please Visit:

Drifting Sand
Surf. Sand. Sun. Summer...and beautiful beach girls! These are just a few of the things that come to mind when one thinks about the band Drifting Sand. "Actually, that pretty much sums up everything we sing about," noted leader Surfer Spud. "I get stoked just thinking about the beach and can't even imagine life without it." But since everybody can't live on a coastline, listening to the music of Drifting Sand might just be the next best thing.

Michael Kitchen is a surfer and a songwriter who lives on the Big
Island of Hawaii. Mike mixes new rock with a little rap to create his
own sound. Hoping to promote his music, Michael contacted me and
submitted his music for the world to hear and they were listening. One
of his songs caused a flood of inquiries from Europe to Honolulu.

Thank Goodnes for folks like Marcus from the band, he subscribes to the show and kindly donated thier music. The iOs have a passion for music that has brought them from the eclictic urban nightlife of San Fran to the rock & roll lifestyle of Los Angeles. These four guys, by destiny, the chaos theary,or sine type of benevolent divine intervention, have been brought together as one distinct dynamic "audio-vision". check out their website, We Are One at http://weareone.com
